Happy August!

BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING

The Mid Florida BOD is planning on having a board meeting in August.  We are searching for a new meeting place due to Donattos Pizza closing down.  Please keep checking the web for the exact date and place.  As always, the general membership is welcome to attend.

The Regional Board would like to welcome PJ Sozio as Assistant Regional Director and Danielle Pollitt as
the Regional Secretary.  They will be filling the positions for the remaining 2008 season.
PJ and Danielle have both been a part of Quarter Midget Racing for many years, and their knowledge and
enthusiasm will be an asset to this region.
Welcome aboard PJ and Danielle and thank you for your support.

NEW TRACK UPDATE

Mid Florida Board of directors are looking for more land for our new track. The Mid Florida board of directors spent many hours working with Brevard county and the karting club to find a way for both clubs to continue to use the same property.  The proposal that Mid Florida BOD presented to the Hurricane Karting club members was not accepted by the karting general membership.  The Mid Florida BOD are keeping all options open and talking to some other interested parties.  Please keep checking the website for updates or contact a board member.  We are determined to find a home for Mid Florida and appreciate all of our members support.  If you have any ideas, please contact Keith Jackson, President of Mid Florida.  Thank you for your continued support.

The Board of directors meeting has been cancelled for the month of June.  Please check the website for the next scheduled meeting.

2008 MID FLORIDA MEMBERSHIPS

As many of you already know, MFQMRA is in the process of building a new track this year.  The board is very excited about the plans that are in the works and there will be a general membership meeting soon to finalize some decisions in order to move forward.  The fact that the track will not be built until at least mid year requires MFQMRA to become a non-racing charter.  You must additionally join a racing charter in order to race at any track in 2008.

Mid Florida needs all of our members to continue their membership.  This will allow you to have a voice and a vote in the future of our new track and facility.   MFQMRA has lowered our club fee to $50.00.  There is still a fee of $75.00 due to national also.

Please contact Debbie Bigham at dbcbig@bellsouth.net for application.
